After finishing your drink, you might just throw the straw into the trash because it doesn’t seem useful anymore.

But with this handy guide, that seemingly useless straw can not only help with cleaning but also transform your apartment into a sparkling beauty.

1. Create a dazzling multi-colored light

Step 1:

– Cut the multi-colored straws into small pieces, about 1cm long.

Step 2:

– Now, attach these small straw pieces to the light bulbs on a string of lights!

And voila! You now have a string of multi-colored lights.

2. Create a rainbow candle cup

Step 1:

– First, tape a double-sided tape around the rim of a glass cup.

Step 2:

– Next, stick the straws onto the cup until it’s completely covered.

– Make sure to alternate the colors for a beautiful effect and use scissors to cut off any excess straw, leaving only the part that covers the rim of the cup!

Now all you need to do is place a candle inside the cup and light it up, and you’ll have a lovely cup!

3. Create name tags for your cables

Cut a piece of straw, write the name on it, and slide it onto the cable. No more confusion between cables!

4. Make a homemade vacuum sealer for food

Put the food in a ziplock bag, leaving a small hole! Then use the straw to suck out the air from the bag. Your food will stay fresh for much longer.

5. Use as a water conduit when necessary

Step 1:

– Connect two straws together, making sure the output end of the straw is always lower than the input end.
